Overview

Electronic warefare C3I Systems are designed to support a broad spectrum of operational scenarios, and to provide Command, Control and Communication to EW Units for land, air or sea. This type of system comprises of a number of operationally independent modules, which collect and exchange information pertinent to the activities of the EW Units in both technical and tactical level.

Depending on the various operational needs, EWC3I systems can operate autonomously or organized hierarchically, under the supervision of a central command centre based on the requirements of the tactical mission. In the latter case, each distinct EWC³I system participates in the EWC³I Wide Area Network assuming either one or both of the following roles:

Coordination

  • Issue commands and assign missions concerning EW activities to subordinate EW Operations Level Units.
  • Receive signal intelligence (COMINT, ELINT) data pertinent to the activities of the EW Operations Level Units.
  • Provide functional planning, directing, and control of subordinate EW assets.
  • Provide a customizable environment that allows the online display, filtering and multi-level analysis of the acquired information.
  • Produce and maintain the Electronic Order of Battle (EOB)
  • Coordinate electronic protection operations.

Operations

  • Collects intelligence (COMINT, ELINT) data from various sources, evaluate and produce information pertinent to enemy activities.
  • Transmit collected information to higher level control EWC³I unit
  • Provide a customizable environment that allows the online display, filtering and multi-level analysis of the acquired information in the area of responsibility of the corresponding EW Unit.
  • Produce and maintain the Electronic Order of Battle (EOB) in the area of responsibility of the operating unit.
  • Receive and execute missions issued by higher level control EWC³I units
