Overview

Monitoring Center (MC): “Estia” is a modern COMINT system suitable for Monitoring and Interception of signals from 1MHz to 3 GHz using omni and directional antennas. This system can detect and identify transmission techniques including the most modern ones. The basic system (H/W and S/W) is of modular design in order to be flexible for customers’ individual requirements.

Typical Configuration

A typical configuration consists of the following subsystems:

  • S-280/C/G shelter with Air Condition unit
  • Monitoring
  • Recording
  • Communication
  • Antenna
  • Electric power

Features & Capabilities

Two men, one of whom might be the vehicle driver, constitute the typical manning crew of the Center and can perform system deployment and operation. Full deployment can be achieved within 15-20 minutes. The functions that any work position performs, can be adapted for different operational tasks. Several of the following typical functions can be performed combined, in parallel and real time:

  • Frequency band searching and monitoring
  • Signals detection, demodulation, analysis and identification
  • Specific Signal demultiplexing and interception
  • Data base Control
  • Monitoring Reports and Mission Scenarios submissions
  • Recording and playback signal analysis

System’s functions and operations can be performed manually by the operators, automatically by the S/W with the operators’ consent, and in certain cases remote-controlled by the Command and Control Center.
